The Baldor-Realiance motor is a .5 HP, 1750 RPM, DC motor with a 56 frame size, classified as C, model 3420D, featuring a Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled (TEFC) design and a F1 mounting configuration. It is shunt wound and equipped with Class F insulation, making it suitable for use with NEMA type K SCR control systems. The motor offers a 20:1 constant torque speed range, with a NEMA C-face and a removable base, with the exception of explosion-proof models. The base is welded on type 3513D only, while NEMA 182 and larger models include a thermostat with normally closed contacts on the field winding. Notably, the 35D, 75D, and 91D types do not have dual mounting base holes. This motor is ideal for applications such as conveyors, printing, textile equipment, machine tools, and other equipment that requires variable speeds with constant torque.
