They feature low-cost polypropylene media that provides chemical resistance, and the cartridges are made from food-grade ingredients suitable for potable water, ensuring no leachables contaminate downstream water. Additionally, a wide range of lengths and micron ratings are available, with certain cartridges incorporating stainless steel center tubes designed for temperature applications.
