The Steel King® SK2000® Boltless Pallet Rack features a 36"W x 96"H Teardrop Upright Frame (RTFAG036096F01VG) constructed from closed steel tubing, offering 44 times more resistance to torsional fork truck impact loads compared to open-back "roll formed" columns. Its teardrop design facilitates tool-free installation, enhancing labor efficiency. Each upright frame allows for 2" vertical beam adjustments, ensuring versatility in configuration. The design minimizes strength loss with holes placed on the column's face and includes a formed ridge that increases cross-sectional strength and rigidity. Accessory holes on the column's side accommodate bolt-in row spacers and wall ties. The upright frame is reinforced with full diagonal and horizontal bracing throughout its height. Heavy 10-gauge footpads are welded to the uprights for efficient load distribution, and a formed ridge on the footpad facilitates easy nesting of shim plates. Multiple offset anchor holes provide flexibility in anchor placement, and the footpads are flush with the column’s sides for optimal seating of floor-level load beams. The structural integrity is further enhanced by full fillet welds at the junctions of braces and columns, ensuring superior strength compared to spot-welds. The weight capacity is based on 36-inch vertical beam spacing.
