The Steel King® SK2000® Boltless Pallet Rack features a 36"W x 120"H teardrop upright frame (RTFAG036120F01VG) constructed from closed steel tubing, providing 44 times greater resistance to torsional fork truck impact loads compared to traditional open-back "roll formed" columns. Its teardrop design facilitates tool-free installation, enabling significant savings in time and labor. Each upright frame allows for 2" vertical beam adjustments, enhancing durability, lowering maintenance costs, improving safety, and extending service life. The frame incorporates holes on the column's face to minimize strength loss, with a formed ridge that increases cross-section strength and rigidity. Accessory holes on the column's side accommodate bolt-in row spacers and wall ties. The design includes full diagonal and horizontal bracing along the entire upright frame height, complemented by heavy 10-gauge footpads that are welded directly to the uprights for efficient load dispersion. These footpads feature a formed ridge for easy nesting of shim plates and multiple offset anchor holes for flexible anchor placement. The footpads are flush with the column's sides, ensuring complete "seating" of floor level load beams. Welds between braces and the column are full fillet welds, offering superior strength compared to spot-welds. The weight capacity is based on a 36-inch vertical beam spacing.
