The Steel King® SK2000® Boltless Pallet Rack features a robust 48"W x 120"H teardrop upright frame (RTFAG048120F01VG) made from closed steel tubing, offering 44 times more resistance to torsional fork truck impact loads compared to traditional open-back "roll formed" columns. This innovative tear drop design allows for straightforward installation without the need for tools, resulting in reduced labor costs. Each upright frame permits 2" vertical beam adjustments and incorporates accessory holes for bolt-in row spacers and wall ties. The construction includes full diagonal and horizontal bracing throughout the upright frame height, and heavy 10-gauge footpads are welded directly to the uprights, ensuring efficient load distribution. The footpads feature a formed ridge for easy nesting of shim plates, and multiple offset anchor holes provide flexible anchor placement options. Additionally, the footpads are flush with the column's sides, ensuring complete seating of floor level load beams. The design employs full fillet welds at the connections between braces and the column, enhancing overall strength. The weight capacity is determined based on a 36-inch vertical beam spacing.
