The Steel King® SK2000® Boltless Pallet Rack features a 48"W x 192"H teardrop upright frame (RTFBG048192F01VG) constructed from closed steel tubing, offering 44 times more resistance to torsional fork truck impact loads compared to open-back roll-formed columns. This innovative teardrop design enables tool-free installation, enhancing efficiency in both time and labor. Each upright frame allows for 2" vertical beam adjustments and is engineered for durability with lower maintenance costs, improved safety, and an extended service life. The column's face is perforated with holes to minimize strength loss and includes a formed ridge that increases cross-section strength and rigidity. Accessory holes on the column's side facilitate the installation of bolt-in row spacers and wall ties. The design includes full diagonal and horizontal bracing throughout the upright frame height, while heavy 10-gauge footpads are welded to the uprights for efficient load distribution. The footpads feature a formed ridge for easy nesting of shim plates and multiple offset anchor holes for flexible anchor placement. Footpads are flush with the column's sides to ensure complete seating of floor-level load beams, and full fillet welds between braces and columns provide superior strength over standard spot welds. Weight capacity is calculated based on 36-inch vertical beam spacing.
