The Steel King® SK2000® Boltless Pallet Rack features a 48"W x 240"H teardrop upright frame (RTFBG048240F01VG) constructed of closed steel tubing, offering 44 times more resistance to torsional fork truck impact loads compared to traditional open-back "roll formed" columns. This design facilitates easy installation without the need for tools, which reduces time and labor costs. The upright frame allows for 2" vertical beam adjustments and is built for durability, lower maintenance costs, improved safety, and a longer service life. Holes are strategically placed on the column's face to minimize strength loss, while a formed ridge enhances the cross-section strength and rigidity. Accessory holes on the side permit the use of bolt-in row spacers and wall ties, with full diagonal and horizontal bracing extending throughout the frame's height. Each frame is equipped with heavy 10-gauge welded footpads that efficiently disperse the column load and feature multiple offset anchor holes for flexible anchor placement. The footpads are flush with the sides of the columns to ensure full "seating" of the floor-level load beams, and full fillet welds between braces and columns exceed the strength of spot welds. The weight capacity is determined based on a 36-inch vertical beam spacing.
