The Steel King SK3000 Structural Channel Pallet Rack features upright frame columns made of 3" structural channel steel with increased steel thickness in corner sections for enhanced resistance to forklift impact, greater load carrying capacity, and seismic force resistance. The uprights are 36"D by 120"H and are punched on 4" vertical centers, while beam connections allow vertical adjustability in 2" increments. The frame incorporates diagonal and horizontal braces constructed from 1.5" x 1.5" structural angles welded to the columns. Footpads are fabricated from 7-gauge steel plates welded to each column for efficient floor load distribution and include multiple anchor holes for installation and reanchoring. The rack has a safety factor of L.92:1, with minimum steel yield strength of 50,000 p.s.i. in columns and 36,000 p.s.i. in balance components. All capacities are based on a 36" beam shelf spacing and minimum steel yields, ensuring actual capacity will meet or exceed stated values.
