The Steel King® SK3000® Structural Channel Pallet Rack features upright frame columns made of 3" structural channel steel with reinforced steel thickness in corner sections for enhanced resistance to forklift impact damage, increased load carrying capacity, and seismic force resistance. The upright frames are punched on 4" vertical centers, and beam connections allow vertical adjustability in 2" increments. The frame includes diagonal and horizontal braces constructed from 1.5"x1.5" structural angles, which are welded to the columns. Footpads are fabricated from 7-gauge steel plates and welded to each column to efficiently disperse floor loads, with multiple anchor holes on each footpad for installation and reanchoring. The rack has a safety factor of L.92:1, with minimum steel yield strengths of 50,000 p.s.i. for the columns and 36,000 p.s.i. for the balance. All capacities are based on minimum steel yields, ensuring stated capacities will not be less than actual performance. Capacity ratings are based on 36" beam shelf spacing. The package includes the upright frame with all specified components.
