The 3/8-16 x 3/4 unslotted indented hex washer thread cutting screw type F is fully threaded and made of zinc. This type-F thread-cutting screw is specifically designed for use in heavy gauge sheet metal, aluminum, zinc and lead die castings, cast iron, brass, and plastic. When used with stainless steel materials, it is important that the material into which the screw is cutting threads has a lower hardness by 10-20 Rockwell hardness. The indented hex washer head provides the benefits of a hex head while offering greater protection to the mating surface.
