The kit includes 10-24 x 1/2 unslotted indented hex washer thread cutting screws, type 23, which are fully threaded and made of zinc. These thread-cutting type-23 screws provide excellent chip clearance with minimum tightening torques. They are designed for use in materials such as cast iron, zinc, aluminum die castings, and plastics. The stainless material into which the screw is intended to cut threads should have a lower hardness. The indented hex washer head combines the advantages of a hex head with added protection for the mating surface.
