The kit includes 3/8-16 x 1 3/4 slotted indented hex washer thread cutting screws type F, fully threaded and made of zinc. These thread-cutting type-F threaded screws are designed for use in heavy gauge sheet metal, aluminum, zinc and lead die castings, cast iron, brass, and plastic. When using stainless steel, the material into which the screw is cutting threads should have a lower hardness by 10-20 Rockwell hardness. The indented hex washer head provides the benefits of a hex head while offering greater protection to the mating surface.
