The kit includes 6 pieces of 3/8 Phillips flat self-tapping screws made of type A fully threaded 18-8 stainless steel. These screws feature a type A thread for self-starting in thin materials ranging from .015 to .050 inches thick, including metal or resin-filled plywood. The flat head design is ideal for applications where protrusion of the fastener above the mating surface is unacceptable, typically with a 100-degree flat head angle or, for fastening softer materials, an 82-degree flat head angle.
