The 3/8-16x3 unslotted indented hex washer thread cutting screw type F is a fully threaded zinc screw designed for use in heavy gauge sheet metal, aluminum, zinc and lead die castings, cast iron, brass, and plastic. The thread-cutting type F screws are especially suitable for materials with a Rockwell hardness that is lower by 10-20 than that of the stainless steel into which they cut threads. The indented hex washer head provides the advantages of a hex head while offering enhanced protection to the mating surface.
