The 3/8-16x4 unslotted indented hex washer thread cutting screw type F is fully threaded and constructed from zinc. This type-F threaded screw is specifically designed for use in heavy gauge sheet metal, aluminum, zinc and lead die castings, cast iron, brass, and plastic. It is important to note that when using this screw in stainless steel, the material into which the screw is to cut threads should have a lower hardness by 10-20 Rockwell hardness. The indented hex washer head provides the benefits of a hex head while offering greater protection to the mating surface.
