The 12x2 Phillips modified truss head self-drilling screw features a full thread and is coated with zinc. These self-drilling screws are designed with a point that enables them to cut through materials, eliminating the need for a pilot hole. While truss head screws are weaker than pan or round heads, they are preferred in applications where minimal clearance exists above the head.
