The Securall® 42'W x 8'D x 8' 4"H Hazmat Chemical Storage Building is designed for the storage of flammable liquids and hazardous materials in 55-gallon drums, accommodating up to 80 drums. This storage solution features corrosion-resistant, galvanized steel construction with tornado and hurricane-resistant walls, along with interlocking wall panels for enhanced durability. The building boasts a double wall, welded construction with three airspaces, exterior walls made from 12-gauge galvannealed steel, and interior walls of 20-gauge cold roll steel. It includes a 5' W x 6' 8"H double door equipped with a UL classified commercial-grade keyed lock set, a 12-gauge steel sump, heavy gauge forklift channels with open-end construction, and four bolt-down plates with 7/8 diameter holes for wind and seismic bracing. Additional features comprise multiple static grounding connections, inlet vents for natural ventilation with fire dampers for fire-rated buildings, and hazard labeling including a DOT placard holder and NFPA 704 rating signs. The finish is a two-part chemical-resistant aliphatic polyurethane, and the building complies with NFPA Code 30, is factory mutual approved, and has UL listed accessories. Electrical installations adhere to NEC 2008 and 2011 editions. The type of building is determined by the material stored or dispensed, with specific requirements for flammable liquids in Class IA and Class IB categories, which necessitate a design with explosion relief. It is important to verify local authority regulations regarding setback requirements for buildings located more than 75 feet from a main building or property line.
