The Securall® 18'W x 8'D x 8' 4"H Hazmat Chemical Storage Building is designed for the safe storage of flammable liquids, chemicals, and hazardous materials in 55-gallon drums, accommodating up to 32 drums. This building features a double wall, welded construction with three airspace for enhanced safety, and is constructed from 12-gauge galvannealed steel for the exterior walls and 20-gauge cold roll for the interior. It includes a 5'W x 6'8"H double door equipped with a UL classified commercial-grade keyed lock set, a 12-gauge steel sump, and heavy gauge forklift channels with open-end construction. The building is fitted with four bolt-down plates with 7/8 diameter holes for wind and seismic bracing, multiple static grounding connections, and inlet vents for natural ventilation, equipped with fire dampers if required. Additionally, it features hazard labeling options, including a DOT placard holder and NFPA 704 rating signs. The finish consists of a two-part chemical resistant aliphatic polyurethane, and it complies with NFPA Code 30, with factory mutual approval and UL listed accessories. Electrical installations are conducted in accordance with the NEC 2008 and 2011 editions. It is important to note that the type of building required depends on the materials stored; flammable liquids in Class IA and Class IB categories need explosion relief designs, and if the building is situated more than 75 feet from a main building or property line, no fire rating is necessary, contingent upon local authority approval for setback requirements.
