The Ultratech 9706-OS Ultra-Pipe Sock, Oil & Sediment®, measures 12" in diameter and 60" in length and is designed to control the flow of sediment and oil from headwall and other types of pipes. Engineered with Ultratech's Ultra-Filter-Tex®, this durable geo-textile filter media facilitates the passage of large volumes of water while effectively absorbing liquid hydrocarbons, including petroleum, animal, and vegetable oils, as well as other liquid contaminants. The Ultra-Pipe Sock® is particularly useful in pond applications, especially where vertical pipes extend above the water surface, preventing sediment in-flow during high-water events. It is available in several standard and custom sizes and helps ensure compliance with NPDES, 40 CFR 122.26 (1999) when utilized as a best management practice in stormwater pollution prevention plans.
