The Model 556 is a counter balanced rear flanged vertical mount automatic exhaust shutter designed to facilitate horizontal airflow in one direction while preventing reverse airflow and protecting against environmental elements when airflow ceases. The blades open with airflow, reducing the wear load on the fan motor, and close by gravity when the fan shuts down. The counter balanced blades allow for vertical mounting up to a 45-degree angle and feature flanged ends for enhanced weather protection. This exhaust shutter is ideal for use with direct-drive or belt-driven exhaust fans but should not be used with vane axial or tube axial fans. Made in the USA.
