The Model 556 is a counter balanced rear flanged vertical mount automatic exhaust shutter designed to facilitate horizontal airflow in one direction while preventing reverse airflow and offering protection from environmental elements when airflow ceases. This shutter features blades that open with airflow, minimizing the wear load on the fan motor, and close by gravity when the fan shuts down. The counter balanced blades enable the shutter to be mounted vertically or at angles up to 45 degrees, and flanged ends provide additional weather protection. It is ideal for direct-drive or belt-driven exhaust fans, but should not be used with vane axial or tube axial fans. The product is made in the USA.
