The Model 556 is a counter balanced rear flanged vertical mount automatic exhaust shutter, specifically designed to facilitate horizontal airflow in one direction while effectively preventing reverse airflow and offering protection from environmental elements when airflow ceases. The product features blades that open with airflow to minimize wear load on the fan motor, and they close by gravity when the fan shuts down. This shutter allows for vertical mounting up to 45 degrees and includes flanged ends for enhanced weather protection. It is ideal for use with direct-drive or belt-driven exhaust fans, but it is not compatible with vane axial or tube axial fans. The product is proudly made in the USA.
