The Model 556 is a counter balanced rear flanged vertical mount automatic exhaust shutter designed for horizontal airflow in one direction, effectively preventing reverse airflow while offering protection from environmental elements when airflow ceases. The blades are engineered to open with airflow, minimizing wear on the fan motor, and they close by gravity when the fan is turned off. The counter balanced blades allow for vertical to 45-degree installation and feature flanged ends for enhanced weather protection. This shutter is ideal for use with direct-drive or belt-driven exhaust fans, but is not suitable for vane axial or tube axial fans. It is proudly made in the USA.
