The Model 556 is a counter balanced rear flanged vertical mount automatic exhaust double shutter designed for horizontal airflow in one direction while preventing reverse airflow and protecting against environmental elements when airflow ceases. This unit features blades that open with airflow to minimize wear load on the fan motor and close by gravity when the fan shuts down. The counter balanced blades enable vertical to 45-degree mounting, and the flanged ends provide enhanced weather protection. It is suitable for both direct-drive and belt-driven exhaust fans but should not be used with vane axial or tube axial fans. The product is made in the USA.
