Comstar's CF-20 is an internal coil cleaning fluid specifically formulated to break down and dissolve hardened carbon deposits following a compressor failure or burnout. This product effectively removes acid deposits and water from system coils and lines. CF-20 is CFC-free, biodegradable, non-flammable, non-chlorinated, and low in volatile organic compounds (V.O.C.), leaving no residue and ensuring it does not contaminate oil or refrigerant. It features a phased evaporation rate, making it safer and easier to use compared to traditional chlorinated and flammable solvents. CF-20 is designed for use in refrigeration or air conditioning systems that utilize mineral, ester, PAG, or alky benzene type refrigeration oil, and is compatible with CFC, HCFC, or HFC refrigerants. Additionally, it can clean refrigerant recovery, recycling, and reclaim equipment, as well as all mechanical parts in refrigeration and air conditioning systems. CF-20 is particularly effective in eliminating mineral oil residue from systems prior to switching to synthetic oil. The recommended dosage is approximately 1 gallon per ton, and for total system cleaning, CF-20 should be circulated throughout the system using a pump.
