Fire Safe is an anti-freeze fluid designed for wet fire protection sprinkler systems, formulated with glycerin and compliant with the recommendations of NFPA 13. This product provides flow protection down to -15°F and burst protection to -50°F, ensuring optimal performance in extreme conditions. Fire Safe is ready to use out of the container and should not be diluted. It is essential to check the freezing protection each season using a hydrometer to measure the specific gravity, which should register at 1.130 at 60°F. If the specific gravity falls below this value, indicating deterioration, the system should be emptied and replenished with fresh Fire Safe. The fluid is non-toxic and non-corrosive, making it suitable for all types of piping, including CPVC.
