The Mail Boss in-ground steel mounting post is made from heavy-duty 10/14-gauge galvanized steel and features a durable commercial-grade powder-coated finish for enhanced weather resistance. With standard 4x4 dimensions, this mailbox post includes pre-drilled holes that allow it to fit securely over treated wooden 4x4 posts for deeper installations. It is designed for installation in concrete and is compatible with all Mail Boss branded post-mount mailboxes, eliminating the need for an additional mounting bracket or adapter plate. The post can also serve as a sleeve for a wooden post for deeper installations, and it has a 4x4 bolt pattern that connects to various other mailboxes available on the market. Installation requires burying the post approximately 12 in. into the ground, and it is engineered to support up to 250 lbs. evenly distributed. The kit includes mounting hardware and clear instructions, along with a limited lifetime warranty.
