The Mail Boss in-ground steel mounting post is constructed of heavy-duty 10/14-gauge galvanized steel with a durable commercial-grade powder-coated finish for weather resistance. Designed with 4x4 standard mailbox post dimensions, it features pre-drilled holes for secure fitting over treated wooden 4x4 posts for deeper installations. This mailbox post, compatible with all Mail Boss branded post-mount mailboxes, does not require an additional mounting bracket or adapter plate. It should be installed approximately 12 in. into the ground with concrete and is engineered to support up to 250 lbs. evenly distributed. The post includes mounting hardware and clear instructions, and it is backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
