The 16 open-end sander features front-mounted controls and a load meter for constant monitoring during operation. It incorporates metal-tipped safety limiters designed to stop the sander immediately in the event of belt breakage. The combination head promotes a more consistent finish, while pneumatic sanding belt tracking ensures that the belts remain automatically centered. The machine also includes a side access door for easy belt changes. Standard equipment comprises a 5HP motor, an emergency stop button, and a dust collection port.
