The Tempco immersion heater is a 4000W, 240V unit constructed from 304 stainless steel, specifically designed to fit through a standard 2" bung opening in a 55-gallon drum. It is ideal for enhancing the flow of lard, tar, oils, and other high viscosity solutions. The heater features only 8" +/- 1/2" of the vertical riser that is heated, ensuring that the liquid level can fluctuate without risking damage to the heater. It is crucial to maintain the vertical heated portion, which extends 8" up the riser from the bottom of the element, fully immersed at all times. The kit includes adjustable stainless steel mounting brackets and is hard wired for installation.
