The Series 550 coupling features a 3/4" female NPT (industrial interchange 1/2") design that incorporates an easy-to-grip mechanism and requires only a low connection force. This coupling is smaller, more compact, and generates higher flow rates than comparable models, while also ensuring an extremely low noise level upon disconnection. The vented safety version of the Series 550 is designed to be disconnected in two stages, allowing for venting of the coupling to minimize the risk of sudden component separation, thereby enhancing operator safety. Its unique balanced-valve design facilitates easy connection regardless of system pressure, making it suitable for applications with multiple connection points, such as manifolds, where low connection force is essential.
