The Series 550 nipple features a 3/4" female NPT connection (industrial interchange 1/2") and is designed for ease of use with an easy-to-grip design that requires only a low connection force. These couplings are smaller, more compact, and generate higher flows than comparable designs, while also producing extremely low noise upon disconnection. The vented safety version of the Series 550 is designed for disconnection in two stages to vent the coupling, minimizing the risk of sudden component separation and potential operator injury. Its unique balanced-valve design facilitates easy connection regardless of system pressure, making it particularly suitable for applications with multiple connection points, such as manifolds, where low connection force is essential.
