The Series 550 nipple is designed with a 1/4" male NPT connection (Industrial Interchange 1/2"). This series features couplings that offer an easy-to-grip design and require only a low connection force, resulting in smaller, more compact components that generate higher flows than comparable designs. The Series 550 couplings produce an extremely low noise upon disconnection and include a vented safety version that disconnects in two stages to vent the coupling, minimizing the risk of sudden component separation that could cause operator injury.
