The Series 550 nipple features a 3/8" hose barb and is designed for industrial interchange with a 1/2" connection. This series of couplings includes an easy-to-grip design that requires only a low connection force, making them smaller and more compact while generating higher flows than comparable designs. Notably, the Series 550 couplings produce an extremely low noise upon disconnection. The vented safety version is engineered to disconnect in two stages, allowing for venting of the coupling and minimizing the risk of sudden component separation that could lead to operator injury.
