The Series 550 nipple features a 1/2" hose barb and is designed for Industrial Interchange applications. The couplings in this series boast an easy-to-grip design, requiring only low connection force, and are smaller, more compact, and capable of generating higher flows than comparable designs. Notably, they produce extremely low noise levels upon disconnection. The vented safety version of the Series 550 disconnects in two stages, allowing for venting of the coupling and reducing the risk of sudden component separation that could lead to operator injury. Its unique balanced-valve design facilitates easy connections regardless of system pressure, and it is particularly suitable for multiple connection points, such as in manifold applications where low connection force is essential.
