The Series 550 coupling - 1/2" hose barb (Industrial Interchange 1/2") features an easy-to-grip design that requires a low connection force, making it extremely easy to connect even under system pressure. These couplings are smaller and more compact while generating higher flows than comparable designs. They produce an extremely low noise upon disconnection and come in a vented safety version, which disconnects in two stages to vent the coupling and minimize the risk of sudden component separation, thereby reducing the potential for operator injury. This safety version is particularly suitable for applications with multiple connection points, such as manifolds, where low connection force is essential.
