The Buyers steel underbody truck box model 1702705 is constructed from 14-gauge powder-coated steel in black with a 14-gauge bright polished stainless steel door featuring a mil finish. The box measures 18 inches by 18 inches by 36 inches and includes a recessed, beveled, and replaceable door with a rain channel design and 1/2-inch door gasket to prevent moisture intrusion. It is equipped with a die cast locking T-handle compression latch, and for larger boxes, two latches are used on 48-inch and 60-inch models; the continuous stainless steel hinge protects against moisture and road dirt while the reinforced door backbone enhances door integrity and latch protection with no visible surface bolts or weld marks on the door. The door also includes aircraft cable door retainers, allowing the door to open fully when the cable is removed.
