The Buyers steel underbody truck box, model 1702710, measures 18" x 18" x 48" and features a 14-gauge powder coated steel box with a 14-gauge bright polished stainless steel door finished in a black mil finish. The door is recessed and beveled, with replaceable doors and a rain channel design accompanied by a 1/2" door gasket to prevent moisture ingress. It utilizes a die cast locking T-handle compression latch, with two latches on the 48" size for secure closure, and an SS continuous hinge designed to protect against moisture and road dirt. The door is reinforced with a backbone that strengthens its integrity and safeguards the latch mechanism, and it has no surface bolts or weld marks, ensuring a clean appearance. The box includes "aircraft cable" door retainers allowing full open door operation by removing the cable.
