The Buyers steel underbody truck box model 1704715 features a black 24" x 24" x 60" construction made of 14-gauge stainless steel with a mil finish or powder-coated steel. It includes a 14-gauge bright polished stainless steel door that is recessed and beveled, with replaceable doors. The design incorporates a rain channel and a 1/2" door gasket to protect against moisture. The box is equipped with a die-cast locking T-handle compression latch, with two latches on the 48" and 60" models. A stainless steel continuous hinge shields against moisture and road dirt, while a reinforced door backbone enhances door integrity and protects the latch mechanism. The door has no surface bolts or weld marks and features "aircraft cable" door retainers that allow the door to open fully when the cable is removed.
