The Buyers steel underbody truck box with stainless steel door, model 1702700, measures 18 x 18 x 24 inches and features a 14-gauge stainless steel box with a mill finish or powder-coated steel option. The door is made of 14-gauge bright polished stainless steel with a recessed and beveled design that is replaceable. It includes a rain channel design and a 1/2-inch door gasket for weather protection. The box is secured with a die-cast locking T-handle compression latch, with two latches on the 48-inch and 60-inch boxes, and a stainless steel continuous hinge to protect against moisture and road dirt. The door has a reinforced backbone to enhance integrity and protect the latch mechanism, with no surface bolts or weld marks visible. It also uses "aircraft cable" door retainers, allowing the door to open fully when the cable is removed. The box is finished in black.
