The Buyers steel underbody truck box with stainless steel door, model 1704705, is constructed from 14-gauge stainless steel with a mill finish or powder-coated steel for the box and features a 14-gauge bright polished stainless steel door. The door is recessed and beveled, designed with replaceable doors, a rain channel, and a 1/2" door gasket to prevent moisture intrusion. It includes a die cast locking T-handle compression latch, with two latches on 48" and 60" sizes, and a stainless steel continuous hinge that protects from moisture and road dirt. The door has a reinforced backbone to strengthen integrity and safeguard the latch mechanism, with no surface bolts or weld marks visible. The door retainers use aircraft cable, allowing for a full open door position by removing the cable, enabling the door to open completely. The box is black in color with dimensions of 24" x 24" x 36".
