The Edwards 598 series class 2 signaling transformers are designed as easy-to-install low voltage power sources for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. This kit includes non-regenerative thermal overload protection, a grounding wire, pre-stripped pigtails, and screw terminal connections on the secondary side. The transformers can be mounted in a standard 1/2" (13mm) knockout or surface mounted using the provided foot mounts, allowing compatibility with both plastic and metal back boxes. They can also be enclosed with the Cat. No. 593 transformer plate for mounting in a standard two gang outlet box. The Edwards 598 transformers provide high power for long wire runs and applications requiring greater power, such as door openers, making them ideal for large apartments and building elevators.
