The Storm Sentinel™ drain protection inserts are designed to assist companies in adhering to stormwater pollution prevention plans and best management practices by effectively capturing trash, debris, and sediment before they enter storm drains and catch basins. The enhanced design features increased surface area for improved sediment retention while maintaining a reduced depth within the catch basin. The large rectangle inserts can be adjusted to fit catch basins ranging from 16" x 20" to 28" x 36" (41cm x 51cm to 71cm x 97cm) and support an overflow rate of up to 500 GPM to prevent ponding. Installation requires no special tools: simply remove the grate, adjust the wire frame to fit in the recess, place the insert into the recess and frame into the corners, and then replace the metal grate. For removal, lift the grate, grab the handle, and pull out the insert, which remains flush with the surface, ensuring that no part of it extends above. This product complies with NPDES, 40 CFR 122.26 when utilized as a best management practice in stormwater pollution prevention plans.
