Enpac® Storm Sentinel™ Catch Basin Insert is designed to effectively protect storm drains and catch basins, specifically for round diameters ranging from 27" to 29". The model number is 4340-IB-BG. This insert is equipped with oil-absorbent media contained in a screened bag, which helps capture oil and sediment before it can enter the stormwater system, thereby assisting companies in adhering to stormwater pollution prevention plans and best management practices. The enhanced design features an increased surface area for better sediment retention while minimizing the depth of the insert within the catch basin. It supports an overflow rate of up to 500 GPM to prevent ponding and requires no special tools for installation. Compliance is ensured with NPDES, 40 CFR 122.26 when used as a best management practice. The installation process involves removing the grate, adjusting the wire frame to fit the recess, placing the insert and frame into position, and then replacing the metal grate. For removal, simply lift the grate, use the handle to pull the insert out, ensuring that no part of the insert extends above the surface.
