The Enpac® 4341-IB Storm Sentinel™ Catch Basin Insert is a large, rectangular insert designed with an oil-absorbing imbiber packet to assist companies in complying with storm water pollution prevention plans and best management practices. This insert effectively captures oil and sediment before they enter storm drains and sewers, featuring an oil-absorbent media housed in a screened bag for enhanced discharge protection. The improved design increases surface area for sediment retention while minimizing the insert's depth in the catch basin. It is suitable for catch basins measuring from 16" x 20" to 28" x 36" (41 cm x 51 cm to 71 cm x 97 cm) and boasts an overflow rate of up to 500 GPM to prevent ponding. The unit requires no special tools for installation; simply remove the grate, adjust the wire frame to fit, place the insert and frame into the corners, and replace the grate. Removal is equally straightforward: lift the grate, grab the handle, and pull out the insert, which is designed to remain flush with the surface. The insert complies with NPDES, 40 CFR 122.26 when implemented as part of a storm water pollution prevention plan.
