The Lag Shield Shell Expansion Anchor is designed for a drill diameter of 5/8", with a length of 3/8" and a minimum embedment depth of 2-1/2". This screw-style anchor is intended for use with lag bolts and is suitable for installation in concrete as well as mortar joints of block or brick walls. Manufactured from ZAMAC alloy, the Lag Shield anchors come in two versions: a short style for harder masonry materials to reduce drilling time, and a long style for soft or weak masonry to better develop strength.
