The Lag Shield Shell Expansion Anchor has a drill diameter of 5/8" and is 3/8" short with a minimum embedment depth of 1-3/4". This screw-style anchor is designed for use with lag bolts and is suitable for installation in concrete as well as the mortar joints of block or brick walls. The anchors are made from Zamac alloy, providing durability and strength. For harder masonry materials, the short style Lag Shield reduces drilling time, while the long style version is intended for soft or weak masonry to better develop holding strength.
