The Lag Shield Shell Expansion Anchor has a drill diameter of 7/8" and is 5/8" long with a minimum embedment depth of 3-1/2". It is a screw-style anchor designed for use with lag bolts, suitable for concrete and the mortar joints of block or brick walls. The anchors are made from Zamac alloy. Short-style lag shields are used in harder masonry materials to reduce drilling time, while the long-style version is designed for soft or weak masonry to enhance strength development.
