The lag shield shell expansion anchor has a drill diameter of 7/8" and a 5/8" short length with a minimum embedment depth of 2". This screw-style anchor is designed for use with lag bolts and is suitable for installation in concrete as well as the mortar joints of block or brick walls. The anchors are made from zamac alloy. For harder masonry materials, the short style lag shields are used to reduce drilling time, while the long style version is intended for use in soft or weak masonry to provide better strength development.
