The Lag Shield Shell Expansion Anchor has a drill diameter of 1/2", a length of 1/4", and a minimum embedment depth of 1-1/2". It is a screw-style anchor designed for use with lag bolts, suitable for concrete and mortar joints in block or brick walls. The Lag Shield anchors are made from Zamac alloy. For harder masonry materials, the short style Lag Shields reduce drilling time, while the long style version is used in soft or weak masonry to better develop strength.
